Why SparkRef exists
Every electrician knows the moment: you're up on a ladder, half a panel torn open, and you need an answer right now. Maybe it's an ampacity question, maybe it's a voltage drop, maybe it's whether that conduit fill calculation actually works for the run you just bid. The code book has the answer. The code book is also nine hundred pages and four feet away on the floor.
For two decades I've watched apprentices, journeymen, and foremen do the same thing I did: pull out a phone, search a forum, scroll past three ads, and try to remember which post had the right answer. There had to be something better.
So I built it. SparkRef started as a personal cheat sheet — calculators I trusted, code references I used most, organized the way an electrician's brain actually works. Then it became a Progressive Web App so it would work in the basements and mechanical rooms where the signal dies. Then I started showing it to other tradesmen and they said the same thing every time: when can I get this?
